HERE’S YOUR WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT COMMUNITY CHURCH + IN THE COMMUNITY!
highlight of the week: no-in person gathering this weekend
This Memorial Day weekend, we are doing something different. Instead of gathering under one roof, we’re asking our GBCC church family to be the church in their neighborhoods — hosting or attending a Neighborhood Gathering right where they live.
We have provided a teaching video to anchor your time together, but the real win is the conversations, connections, and relationships that happen with the people next door. We have also created conversation questions for after the message.
You can now find the message and discussion questions here! If you gather, snap a picture and share with us! You can tag us on Facebook or Instagram or send a picture to social@gbcc.me - we’d love to see how you gather!
THIS SUNDAY’S MESSAGE
Reminder that this Sunday there is NO in person gathering! We encourage you to host or attend a neighborhood gathering and watch the message online here. Have a safe Memorial Day Weekend! We will see you back in person on Sunday, May 31!

SPLASH CLASS: FOR KIDS BEFORE GETTING BAPTIZED
Is your child asking questions about what it means to follow Jesus or have they made the decision to follow Jesus, but haven't been baptized yet?
We’ll chat about the who, what, why of baptism, discuss the differences between salvation and baptism, and will answer questions children may have about what to expect.
Our goal is to help families prepare for baptism and this class is intentionally designed to facilitate conversation between children and parents. We also want to help make sure that children fully understand their decision to get baptized.
Sunday, May 31 from 11:15am-11:45am in the Cave. Sign up here!

From the Ring to the Redemption: Ethen Raunio’s Journey of Faith
In the world of professional wrestling, everything is about the "right now." It’s a world of bright lights, adrenaline, and what Ethen Raunio calls "living in the flesh"—a lifestyle where you are often the center of your own universe, and the needs of others rarely make the bill.
But if you ask Ethen today, he’ll tell you that the greatest "match" he ever participated in wasn’t in a ring in Green Bay; it was the struggle for his own soul. Today, Ethen's life looks a lot different. The man who once lived for himself is now finding his identity in the Trinity, trading a disregard for others for a heart on fire for the Gospel.
CONNECT TO COMMUNITY
Join us for Connect to Community, on the first Sunday of each month. This gathering is free to attend and a great first step in getting to know GBCC. Join us from 10am–11am. Come a little early and enjoy breakfast! You’ll meet some of our pastors, elders, and staff, get a simple overview of who we are as a church, and learn how you can get involved. We’ll also answer any questions you may have. Our hope is that you’ll meet new friends, catch a clear picture of our beliefs, and discover real ways to connect.
Next Connect to Community is Sunday, June 7 in the Offices — Sign up here.
WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT
Giving regularly is a way to express our love and trust in God's provision. It's not about the amount given, but the intention and heart behind it. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Let each one give thoughtfully and with purpose just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift." As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey. Each week we will inform you of where we stand. For the week of May 14th
Total giving was $23,753--About $14,700 below our target
This year, we've had 37 new regular givers join us in supporting the important work of the Kingdom here in Green Bay. Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church! Your prayers and contributions truly make a difference in advancing our mission and serving our community!
